Lessons from sweatpants
In my most recent Nurture video, I share a lesson I learned from my sweatpants. Seriously. How can you resist that?
“Passed” over “perfect”
Don’t ruin a perfectly good achievement by dumping perfectionism all over it.
I hate to ask
If you’d be willing to share the book with friends and colleagues, I’d be immensely grateful.
You are not alone
I’d like to take a minute to remind you that you are not alone. So many of us are struggling right now, in ways large and small, visible and invisible. Please know that no matter what unhelpful stories we tell ourselves, these challenges do not separate us from others. Instead, they connect us.
My new arrival!
I’ve been working on a book. Along the way, I’ve shared the ups and downs of the process with friends, and several have compared it to birthing a child. And now, the baby has finally arrived, and it’s time to celebrate. Welcome, Well on Your Way! :)
I need your eyes!
It’s hard to believe that my book for assistant professors will be coming out next month! (Yay!) In preparation, I need your help choosing a cover design concept. (Seriously. I can't make this decision alone.)
Need some one-on-one support?
While we may not be able to end the pandemic, we can change the way we experience life and work in the midst of it. Simply reply to this message by May 16th to get started.
A virtual hug… and more :)
The world has changed dramatically since I reached out in February to share my Nurture video series. Wherever you are, please take good care, and know that I will continue to send positive, loving thoughts in the days ahead.
My word for the year (and videos!)
In my experience, nurturing is much more pleasant—and much more effective—than trying to force things, and I want to keep this top of mind in 2020 and beyond.
December survival kit
Below, I've shared a few tools from my December survival kit in hopes they’ll help keep you in good spirits (or at least upright) at this hectic time of year. As always, please take what works and let the rest go.
