A special invitation

October 6, 2026

Happy October! I hope the shift from summer to fall has opened up engaging new possibilities for you alongside the typical increase in demands.

And speaking of new possibilities, I’m excited—and also a bit nervous—to share a new and different offering with you.

I want to start with a little backstory.

For much of my life—and certainly throughout my academic career—my serious (scientific) side and my sensitive (spiritual) side battled it out for space in my head, heart, and body. I believed that to be respected as a scholar, I needed to hide some of my most tender (some might say woo-woo) parts. I realized only later that in doing so, I had cut off access to essential sources of curiosity, energy, and wisdom.

Even as I’ve learned to embrace these more soulful parts of myself, I’ve held back on sharing my experience broadly for fear of negative judgment, especially from academic clients and former colleagues who highly value science and logic. But here’s the thing: I also highly value science and logic! Evidence-based approaches from fields like psychology and neuroscience have been critical to my own growth and to my work with clients. But they’re not the only thing I value. I’m a seeker at heart, and I love to explore new frameworks and methods of deepening my understanding of myself and my place in the universe, whether that means attending church, studying systems like Human Design and the Gene Keys, or playing with a deck of tarot cards.

I’m sharing this now because I believe that, at this time of immense uncertainty, we need to draw on all of the resources available to us. That includes not only our intellect, but the wisdom in our emotions and our bodies; the insights from our intuition, our creativity, and our dreams; and the power of our connection to the natural world, to each other, and to something greater than ourselves.

My new offering creates a container for a small group (maximum enrollment of 12) to explore these varied dimensions of ourselves and our lives, together. Beginning in January, we will journey through the 10 keys of Resourced & Ready through a broad lens that is grounded in both science and spirit, steeped in love, spaciousness, and the possibility that we are being held by a benevolent universe. We will leave with a deeper understanding of the limitless resources available to us and an expanded readiness to welcome whatever comes our way.

This clearly isn’t for everyone, and for now I’m only sharing it with subscribers. If you feel even the tiniest spark of curiosity, I hope you’ll join me for a free taster session at noon ET on Friday, October 23rd.

And if you’re ready, you can learn more about the full program here. I’m happy to answer questions, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

As always, thanks for being here, and thanks especially for being you!

Elizabeth

Have you had a chance to check out the meditative contemplations my good friend and colleague (and mindfulness teacher extraordinaire) Victoria Fontana and I created for academics? If not, why not give one a try? I suspect you'll find that taking a few minutes to slow down has big positive payoffs both now and down the road.

I had the great pleasure of appearing on the Peer Review podcast with Hebrew Union College Professor Sarah Bunin Benor and Carleton University Professor Mira Sucharov. In this wide-ranging conversation, we discussed things like navigating loneliness, perfectionism, and productive paralysis. Please give it a listen!

Whether you’re feeling empowered and energized or overwhelmed and exhausted, Resourced & Ready: The Ultimate R&R provides keys to finding balance and building resilience. I hope you’ll return to it often as you continue to navigate this uncertain terrain.

And if you missed my Resourced & Ready newsletter series, check out the messages from June through December 2025 to explore additional ways to try out each key!
